Center of Excellence blog: Crowdsourcing Backlash?

Re #2: I already feel that way. It's so annoying that companies of all kinds -- but especially tech companies -- don't provide help or customer service any more. You're supposed to go on the forums for help.

I also worry that an emphasis on the wisdom of the crowd will eliminate the unique, weird or unusual.

BTW, I think there already are a couple examples of crowd-sourcing movie scripts.

    1. Your right in a sense "people start to wonder 'why am I paying you for this" but the economic model starts to change. Crowd sourcing works best when you are having specific tasks needing to be completed and you can give direction. The model now changes. The company that was once providing you with marketing direction and producing your ads etc now just provides you with direction. They are the value add so to speak and the production part can be outsourced to the crowd.

    2. "I was wondering this morning if you could crowdsource a movie script or a TV pilot." - Check out Wooshii. We are doing pretty much that but for advert scripts and concepts
